Pyramid Inc. Adult Day Training

Hours of Operation: 8 am – 4:30 pm M-F

Our Program is arts focused but also has other more traditional components. We provide continuing adult basic education and have Escambia County school teachers in our Pensacola location during the school year who work with our students. We have found that many of our students who have never been exposed to the arts are quite talented individuals. Many earn commissions and paychecks for their abilities to either create visual art or via performing arts.

If anyone would like to see how much talent our students truly have, I would like to invite you to attend our performance,“Trouble in Oz”, at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Auditorium on Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th. The doors open at 5pm and the show begins at 7pm. I think it will open the eyes of many to what is possible for their loved one.

We are a Medicaid funded program but also take private pay much like ARC Gateway. We are an ARC Florida member.

We were the fortunate recipient of an Impact 100 grant whereby we are just now moving into our new performing arts studio and visual arts classrooms. This was completed only a few weeks ago.

Note to Parents: If you would like specific information on our offerings, please contact Cindy Coleman, Pensacola Pyramid Director, at 453-3341. She would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

As some of you know, my husband took a major promotion and we had to relocate to Hawaii temporarily. I am working from here by phone, Skype and e-mail. Please note that we are 5 hours behind Central Time.

I thought that this update will bring everyone up to speed on where we are at, what we need immediately, and what we need in the future. Please let me know if you have any input at all.

It is of utmost importance that ALL of you go to our FaceBook page and click on LIKE on that page and then register on www.AdultAutism.us. If applicable, please begin to utilize the forums on that site. We need more data to include with funding requests, so please take the FREE and ANONYMOUS 10 item or 50 item test so we can add that data, no matter whether you have previously been diagnosed with AS/HFA, ADD, ADHD, Depression, Bi-Polar or whatever else or even if you are perfectly “Normal”. We just need prevalence data.

So far, we have the following data available since January 2012:

Total visits: 555

Total page views: 5650

Total tests taken: 159

Total at risk: 74

Testing began 1/16/12 and Results are current as of April 27.

We have approximately 65 registered users so far.

All of this was done by FB marketing only and in spite of the fact that I was down from March 1 to April 25 due to the move. We were staying at the Pearl Harbor/Ford Island lodge and our files were in DoD storage.

Imagine what we can do as a team when everyone participates fully!

I look forward to hearing from all of you! Claudia
